Marquette Harvest – Northern Grapes Project Training systems

Yesterday, we had a crew of six out to harvest Marquette training system plots at Coyote Moon Vineyards in Clayton.

We pick into plastic grocery bags, and count clusters on each vine.

Hello, it’s nice what you’ve created. I am a hobby winemaker of the Czech Republic in the harsh conditions of Vine. I would like to plant 15 plants Vine Marquette. Can you advise me how much distance between themselves plants in a row? Thank you. Good luck. George Bien

Sorry for delayed response – spacing varies according to your soil characteristics. Here in NY, generally about 1.5 to 2.3 M between vines. 2M would probably be a good starting point.
