Greetings MechE students,
If you are trying to add a required course or switch into a different discussion section or lab, please follow the instructions below.
If you’re already in a class that’s full but want to change sections, add your name and info. to the swap sheets posted outside of Upson 125 and read the instructions for swapping.
If you still need to add a required course:
- Make sure that you are prioritizing your major requirements over minors, etc. Look into alternate courses for electives that conflict with your required courses.
- Keep checking student center. There is a lot of movement during the add period, so check back often to see if you can add the course you need.
- If instruction starts before you can add a class, attend as if you are enrolled. If the course is required, we will work out the actual enrollment while the add period is still open or find alternatives. If the course is an elective, there is some chance you will not be able to add it if space doesn’t open up.
- Contact Emily or Kae-Lynn only after you have taken steps 1 and 2. We will keep a close eye on the number of students who are not able to add required courses and take action based on that.
