Homecoming 2013

Saturday was the football game against Bucknell!!

Festivities started at around noon, with a free t-shirt give away and tailgate in the Crescent parking lot outside of Schoellkopf Field (aka the football stadium).  There was a big migration of Cornell students, faculty, and alumni to the stadium, all in Cornell gear!!

Yet another perk of being a hotelie is the HOMECOMING HOTELIE TAILGATE.  It is run by the HEC executive board and they basically create a custom menu for the tailgate that’s open only to Hotel School students!  This year’s menu included turkey sausage:

With a toppings bar:

Cornbread:

Pulled pork…mmmmm….:

Along with apple cider, Ithaca Brewery Root Beer, chocolate chip cookies and milk!! The cookies were so good I had 4 of them…:

Following the tailgate was the game!! It unfortunately was pouring rain for the entire game. Here was the sea of umbrellas in the stands:

But we won 45-13 anyway! You can read this article for more details on the game.  Despite it being really cold and pouring rain during the football game, it was once again a great homecoming day!
