Week 4

Hello! I’m back again. This post was a bit late because I’ve been having trouble with the blog website. It’s a bit ironic, I’m supposed to be a social media intern but I’m having trouble with a blog page. Anyways, its fixed now. Or it should be.

In terms of progress, this week has been a little slow. I managed to run through and get my posts from last week approved and posted. So for next week I will be working on a post about vegan meat alternatives. To be honest, I didn’t know much about this topic until I had to research it, but it seems to be a little bit of a debate. I focused my post to be more neutral because I believe the ultimate takeaway is that people should understand the positives and negatives of choosing these kinds of alternatives.

Besides that, I’ve been making plans and cooking up some ideas with my supervisor. We really are excited to get started on some Reels content so we have three main series ideas. The first is to do a grocery store hacks series. Where we go into grocery stores and film some of the tricks they use to push people to spend more. I have reached out to local stores in the area to see if they would let us film there. The second is recipe videos focused around kids snacks. We felt this was important for the summer since many kids are at home now that school is out. By focusing on snack foods, we hope to provide an alternative to the heavily processed snacks out there. Finally, the last concept is to make a series where we have people review food alternatives like milk and meat.
