Interstellar Cascade
I want to see Interstellar. Not because I’m interested in space travel in any way, shape or form. I want to see interstellar because so many have my friends have gone to see the movie already and I have now been convinced that I should also see the movie. My threshold for deciding to see a movie is very low, probably around q=.02. After I’ve heard about 10 people heard that they loved a movie, or even saw it, I will feel that I must see the movie as well. After I see the movie, I will then tell my friends that I saw it or drag them to come along, allowing the cascade to continue even farther.

The cascade obviously took off right after opening day. People who went to see it immediately went to their friends and told them to watch the movie as well. The initial adopters of the film were in many different countries and the cascade spread throughout the different countries and eventually he money aggregated to hit a large sum of $300 million.
