NY Master Watershed Steward Program



The NYS Master Watershed Steward Program is an educational extension program developed by Cornell University Cornell Cooperative Extension that empowers citizens of New York to take action to be part of the solution to the watershed problems throughout the State. ┬áTo obtain the title of “New York Master Watershed Steward,” participation in a training workshop and a watershed -based apprenticeship project are required. As part of the training program, experts will cover relevant topics including: watershed planning, floodplain management, best management practices to address watershed problems, stakeholder engagement, and much more. During the training workshop, the apprenticeship projects will be described.
