Program:

  • Transplanting & Aftercare in the Aftermath
    Nina BassukFollowing the storms of 2011 many professionals will be establishing and maintaining new specimens in the urban environment. Nina Bassuk, Ph.D., Professor and Director of Cornell’s Urban Horticulture Institute will discuss best management practices relative to the transplanting, establishment and maintenance of trees so they can perform optimally and remain vigorous, pest-free and aesthetically pleasing throughout the 2012 growing season.
  • What We Learned from 2011 to Help in 2012
    Frank RossiCornell University Associate Professor & NYS Turfgrass Extension Specialist Frank Rossi, Ph.D., will review the major pests and environmental stress factors that lead to significant pesticide use last season that may be avoided in the future. Particular emphasis will be placed on disease and weed pests, turfgrass selection, irrigation and soil conditions.

2 NYS DEC credits as well as 2 ISA CEU’s and CNLP credits are being applied for.
