Translated materials can increase the reach of information and reduce confusion and misunderstandings. By providing translated materials, all community members can have knowledge about extreme heat and can take the right steps to protect themselves.   • Ready.gov, Extreme Heat: Information about preparing for heat and what to do during extreme heat events. Languages include: Arabic, Spanish, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Vietnamese, and Tagalog.
  • New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has information about extreme heat and health impacts. The department also offers free language assistance services. Languages include: Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Yiddish, Bangla/Bengali, Haitian Creole, Italian, Polish, French, Arabic, and Urdu.
