Dr. Nicholas Ledesma completed his dissertation in Comparative Biomedical Sciences on dog heartworm vector biology on December 20th. Nick will now return to vet school to complete his last two years of his DVM. Congratulations!
Dengue virus in New York State
New York’s first case of locally acquired dengue virus has been reported:
The infection was likely transmitted by the Asian Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus)
