Fernando Romero Galvan awarded NASA FINESST Graduate Fellowship

The Gold Lab is extraordinarily proud of graduate student Fernando Romero Galvan, who was recently awarded a highly competitive NASA Future Investigators in NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (FINESST) Fellowship to support his doctoral research, “Detecting Plant Disease at Scale with NASA Imaging Spectroscopy.” Additional support for Fernando’s research is provided by the NASA JPL Strategic University Research Partnership (JPL-SURP) Fund awarded to Dr. Gold and Dr. Ryan Pavlick (Fernando’s co-advisor at JPL) and the NSF National Research Traineeship in Digital Plant Sciences awarded to Cornell University.
