This reflection was fairly easy to write, especially in comparison to the first portfolios at the beginning of last semester in GERST 1230: looking back now, I feel like I have required less and less dictionary help to look up new words/grammar and express my thoughts as I write more and more portfolios. I feel like GERST 1230 and GERST 2000 have both significantly improved my writing skills; my speaking skills probably haven’t improved as much, but our Bielefeld project helped me to carry out conversations much more readily than before. Overall, I think that this semester had a nice balance of difficulty covering both written and oral aspects of German culture considering its credit weight (and it being online!). Thank you!
