I thought this audio portfolio was a lot of fun: speaking came more naturally for me this semester than it did for my audio portfolio last semester. Phil and I developed an outline for the beginning of our audiotext to figure out how to transition nicely into our topic of focus (social programs and basic income), but otherwise, I only needed to review some of the topics/projects from earlier in the semester to prepare for the recording. I was a bit shocked at how long the recording turned out to be: last semester, my recording was only about 3.5 minutes long, but this semester, it was 14.5 minutes long. At first, we were thinking of doing no more than 10 minutes, but we were able to carry out an insightful conversation for the entire duration, so the time passed quite quickly. Although I did have a few speaking mishaps, I think I did very well in conveying my points and carrying out a balanced dialogue.
