Our goal is to advance the biology and ecology of viruses of vegetable and fruit crops. Our activities include studies of population genetics, host-pathogen-vector interactions, host resistance to viruses, diagnostics and epidemiology. The ultimate goal is to integrate information from these studies and translate our findings into virus disease management. Our activities are multi-disciplinary with collaborations with pathologists, entomologists, quantitative epidemiologists, horticulturalists, breeders, agriculture economists, extension educators, and IPM specialists.
