Our lab participated in the annual 5k of the local Cancer Resource Center as part of the Cornell PSOC team. Together, we were able to raise more than $3,800 supporting services (free of charge) to people in our community affected by cancer.

Claudia has been awarded a Fellowship for Experienced Researchers by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. This fellowship will allow her to conduct a 1-year research project in the Department of Biomaterials at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany where she will collaborate with Dr. Peter Fratzl to evaluate the role of bone materials properties in breast cancer bone metastasis.
