Research Focus

Obesity and Type II diabetes are frequent comorbidities which may lead to a higher risk of Breast cancer development. Elevated blood sugar levels in diabetes lead to the potential for glycation of extracellular matrix components. I am interested in looking into how glycation may change the mechanical properties of the ECM and how this affects breast cancer cells.

I graduated from the University of Rochester in 2017 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Outside of lab I enjoy running, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, and kayaking.
