Mike Wolfin has presented at The New School twice, sharing both his insect presentation and reptile presentation with Rex the Bearded Dragon. Mike and his colleagues have also come to our summer day camp, Discovery Camp at Thornden Park.
We have been beyond satisfied with this wonderful program! Mike engages the students from beginning to end. He is patient with the students and answers all of their questions. The hands-on aspect of both presentations enhances the students learning. Working with a multi-age group, he gages the students background knowledge before presenting them with new information.
First-grade students and staff in Lansing enjoyed two wonderful presentations by Mike Wolfin this winter. Mike shared his expertise on reptiles with us and the students are still talking about his full-sized bearded dragon named Rex! His insect presentation was a fabulous recap of our fall insect unit. Both of these presentations engaged students with rich hands-on experiences in life science and we are thankful to have had this learning opportunity at our school. Thank you Mike and Rex!
