We have had several farms follow up requesting information on trainings for a Category 7F certification.

• Individuals who are interested must first be eligible to sit for the 7F exam. To do this, they must fit one of the eligibility requirements. One of the most common pathways is to first become a certified technician and then graduate to a certified applicator. To become a technician, often individuals take a 30-hour training course. This is different than the training that CCE regularly offers.
• According to a NYSPAD course search, there is currently already one approved 30-hour course for 7F. It’s an online, self-paced course through pested.com. We checked and the cost is $350 for the course. Core and category manuals are available through the Cornell Store ($49 for Core and $49 for Category 7F, plus shipping).
• This is probably the most efficient way for an individual to obtain a license. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
