After a long hiatus (before the pandemic) of in-depth fruit schools/workshops that we regularly held in March for many years, we are bringing it back! It is time to share all that has been learned by Cornell and other researchers regarding the production, harvest, and storage of quality Honeycrisp and other high value varieties such as Gala, SnapDragon and Evercrisp.

DAY 1- Honeycrisp – Wednesday, March 19

9:45-10:05: New Preplant Soil Preparation and Maintenance Recommendations to Increase Soil pH for Maximum Honeycrisp Tree Performance  (Terence).

10:05-10:25: New Annual Fertilization Programs, K Recommendations, and Plant Tissue Levels for Honeycrisp to Mitigate Incidence of Bitter Pit (Dr. Lailiang Cheng, Cornell University).
