Video – Arts as a Driver for Community Development

Since 1969, Appalshop has been enacting cultural organizing and place-based media, arts and education to document the life, celebrate the culture, and voice the concerns of people living in Appalachia and rural America.

Ben Fink, a collaborator of Development Sociology Professor Scott Peters, came to Cornell to discuss how Appalshop has been developing a model for community engagement that creates substantial change through shared spaces and community-driven projects.
