This intensive weekend-long course pushes the boundaries of current design practices by developing a concept plan for an innovative environment in a nontraditional setting. Students work in multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions and prepare design presentations for review by visiting design professionals.  Typologies include: restaurants, pop-up venues, and user experience phenomena.

Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1: Explore innovation and creativity in temporal-spatial experience (innovate in research, design, or practice).
Outcome 2: Apply key issues related to progressive environments (comprehend disciplines and fields).
Outcome 3: Focus on effective teamwork within the confines of one weekend (work effectively with others).
