Hello!  For me, the thing that inspired me the most was the beauty of the universe if you take the time to look.  I was first introduced to astronomy from the semi-dirty and overused science books of my elementary school’s library, where I saw colour images of galaxies, and I’ve been hooked ever since.  (In fact my current research has to do with galaxies, the exact thing that got me into astro in the first place).  If you get the chance, take the time to look up at the night sky or go to your local library and explore the vastness of Universe; you might find something extraordinary.
