Doctoral candidate Seema Singh (Ph.D. CRP ’22) has been selected as one of the finalists for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition hosted by the Cornell University Graduate School. Singh and seven other graduate students across the university will present their thesis or dissertation work in just three minutes.
Singh will present her dissertation work, titled Women and transport: What are the planner missing? She studies gender and transport linkages in India. Through her research, she seeks to reduce gender-based inequalities in cities by mainstreaming women’s needs in transportation planning and policymaking. In 2019, she was selected as a Younger Leader in Sustainable Transport from the SLOCAT Partnership.
The final round of the 3TM Competition will take place on March 18, 2021.
