John Friedmann, an honorary professor of planning at the University of British Columbia, and professor emeritus at the Luskin School of Public Affairs at the University of California, Los Angeles, passed away on June 11, 2017 after nearly six decades of contributions to the field of planning education and research.
Friedmann’s work influenced several generations of planning scholars, educators, and practitioners to rethink their approaches to planning and cities in different parts of the world.
A panel discussion will be held on November 16th, 4:30pm, at 115 W. Sibley Hall, featuring three CRP faculty Victoria Beard, John Forester, and Pierre Clavel, and be moderated by Ph.D. candidate Nidhi Subramanyam.
