CRP Students are hosting a Open Street Mapathon next Friday, November 17th. They’ll be working to update maps to help disaster response and ongoing humanitarian work. Many disaster relief organizations rely on open street maps data. Without up to date and local level information, it’s difficult for workers to get around areas and to figure out how many people have been affected. Students be remotely updating maps using satellite imagery.
Students will be in the Sibley Hall Barclay Jones Urban Design Lab to work on updating maps.
