On Saturday, October 21, CRP Chair Jeffrey Chusid was the lead-off speaker at the Heritage Conservation Anniversary Symposium at the University of Southern California, which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the programs he helped to found during his time as a USC faculty member and director of the Freeman House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The current director of the graduate programs in heritage conservation, Trudi Sandmeier (MA HPP ’00), organized the well-attended and provocative symposium to explore the nexus between heritage conservation and social justice. The final speaker of the day was the new dean of the USC School of Architecture, Milton Curry, who many remember from his time teaching in AAP from 1995 to 2010.
