As part of Cornell’s sesquicentennial celebrations, students in the Department of Fiber Science and Apparel Design have curated an exhibition chronicling changes in student fashion and campus life from 1865 – 2015. Social, political, and aesthetic aspects of dress are explored within the context of Cornell’s unique history. On display are items from the Cornell Costume and Textile Collection, Cornell’s Rare and Manuscripts Collection, and loans from Cornell alumni and the Ithaca community.
All are cordially invited to the opening reception for 150 Years of Cornell Student Fashion. Please join us for refreshments and a chance to chat with the student curators.
Date: Monday, February 2, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Location: Level T of the Human Ecology Building
Parking: Free parking beneath HEB after 5pm
