Welcome to the CIPA 101 blog, Cornell Institute for Public Affair’s admissions blogs for prospective students. The goal of this blog is to provide prospective students with more information about the program by highlighting advice about the admissions process, showcase some current CIPA Fellows and alumni are up to, and provide more information about Ithaca and Cornell at large.
Interested in public policy? The Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) aims to train future policy professionals in a diversity of areas. At CIPA, students gain a solid framework in public policy, while advancing their specific interests with flexible coursework. With a balance of core coursework (dedicated to economic, quantitative, and administrative concepts) and concentration coursework (in areas like Environmental Policy or International Development Studies), CIPA fellows are able to cater their coursework to their unique area of policy interest.
