Nine Schuyler County Farms opened their doors on September 24th and 25th for the 3rd Annual Schuyler County Farm Tour Weekend.
This year saw the inclusion of new vendors such as Yesterday’s Roots, a recently opened farm market located on Route 14, and other smaller booths such as Sunflower Dairy and food truck, Puttin’ on the Mitts. These vendors added items like homemade soaps, jewelry, ceramics, baked goods, and BBQ chicken. Of course the tours, tastings, hayrides, demonstrations, apple picking, and shopping that many have come to expect were also available. Attendees could purchase items such as fresh produce, hand-crafted cheeses, apples, veggies, jams, cider, donuts, and alpaca products.
This event is possible thanks to the Tourism Assistance Program Grant. Each year CCE Schuyler organizes the farms and vendors; offers various marketing materials and signage; and assists with advertising both online and in print.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s tour a success! Links to this year’s participating farms and vendors can be found below and on our website – which details what each location offered that weekend.
