Montour Falls residents will soon have more opportunities to charge their electric vehicles, thanks to a grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Zero Emissions Vehicle program.
The Village was recently awarded $104,710 to fund the installation of two level 2 charging ports and one level 3 fast charge pedestal. CCE Schuyler’s Clean Energy Communities Team worked with the Village in choosing the appropriate charging stations to install, identifying potential locations for the station, and providing technical assistance on the grant application.
This award will increase the EV infrastructure in Schuyler County and contribute towards the Village’s sustainability initiatives.
