SCHUYLER COUNTY – A name change and a new website are two updates coming to the popular “Schuyler County Farm Tour” for its fifth year.
Previously known as the “Schuyler County Farm Tour Weekend” the event has been given the new name: “Growin’ Around the Glen: Schuyler County Farm Tour Day”. After careful review it was clear that the majority of visitors attended day one. In response, this year’s celebration will be held on Saturday, September 28th and will continue to highlight the many amazing farms located throughout the county.
Farm Tour Day capitalizes on the area’s strong agritourism through the organization and promotion of local farms that have opened their doors to visitors. Visitors can expect the same wonderful experiences including tours, tastings, demonstrations, apple picking, shopping, and opportunities to meet the animals.
Details regarding the participating farms will be featured on a new “Growin’ Around the Glen” website debuting in the upcoming months. This site will offer visitors a centralized spot to learn more about what each farm will be offering, connect to google maps to plan their route, and see what deals are available. More information about the new website will be released as the date draws closer.
