Week 4: June 21st – June 25th

I have now completed a preliminary review of the literature relevant to co-location of agriculture and solar production in Tioga County. This week, I progressed on planning the interviews that will inform the educational materials I create for CCE Tioga. Working with my supervisor and field mentor, I continued to develop interview questions as well as brainstorm community stakeholders to interview. My process for structuring these interviews included identifying information gaps under the topic of co-location of agriculture and solar power in Tioga County and planning to develop resources that fill those information gaps. I was aided in this process by joining the Agriculture and Solar Initiatives group meeting and discussing my project with the group.

I was also able to connect with a fellow CCE intern this week to discuss our projects. It was great to hear about her work this summer! I have learned a great deal so far and am looking forward to completing the interviews that will allow me to connect with members of the Tioga County community.

I connected with local agriculture this week by picking strawberries with my family at Grisamore Farms.
