This week was an exciting week as we finalized our survey for recruitment! This was an extensive process that required multiple reviews and fine attention to detail. This review and re-review process allowed me to catch all the possible errors – for example, typos and variable naming. Despite the lengthy process, I have appreciated it as it has familiarized me with the questions and variables which will be useful in data analysis in the future! Previewing the survey myself was also an interesting experience and gave me a new perspective on the survey as I was forced to think about the experience of taking the survey from the perspective of the participant. I’m interested to see what responses we get!
Besides finalizing our survey, I got started on analyzing data from our pilot study. It was really exciting to begin to take a look at the data and see what kind of changes our intervention made on participants, especially after all the work on the survey itself. This is important in understanding how information presentation directly affects people’s health decisions.
Check in next week for more updates!
