Driving
- Interns are not allowed to provide transportation for minors at any time or for any reason throughout the internship
- Interns must use their own personal vehicle and cannot drive Association vehicles
- A valid driver’s license is required (driving permits are not acceptable)
- In some cases, interns may need to complete an on-line driving course in order to be approved to drive for the internship. Please contact Alyssa Dray at aad78@cornell.edu for further details
- Our insurance carrier (P.W. Wood office) will not insure interns driving an association-owned vehicle. This should not prevent the interns’ ability to drive.
- Other driving options (e.g. driving on the interns’ personal vehicle, driving on University fleet vehicle, or car rental) should be fully deliberated
- Interns will need to meet the required DMV check and successfully pass the online NYS driving training to be approved by our insurance company
