Cornell Cooperative Extension Herkimer County (CCE) is happy to announce a Veggie Van pilot program for the 2024 season powered by: UpMobility Foundation, Herkimer County HealthNet, Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, & Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties. The Veggie Van program aims to increase access to fresh, locally grown produce and other agricultural products in underserved communities within Herkimer County. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, supporting local agriculture, and addressing food insecurity.
The mobile market season is from June 18 to October 31, 2024 and features West End Farm of Herkimer. Accepted forms of payment include cash, credit, EBT/SNAP, Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks and FreshConnect checks.
Tuesdays:
10am – 1 pm: Galinsky Apartments, 105 Protection Ave, Herkimer
3-7 pm: Eastern Park, Across from the library, near the gazebo on Waverly Place, Little Falls
Thursdays:
10am – 1 pm: London Towers, 100 W Main St, Ilion 10am-1pm
3-7pm: West Winfield Village Green, Corner of North Street and Route 20
