A note about the blog

FYI old blog posts from 2013 are still on the blog, because why not.  Be aware that how the class was run in 2013 is very different from 2017.

Videonote

The Physics of Cancer Metabolism Center has agreed to support videotaping of lectures, so lectures will be available at http://cornell.videonote.com.

Blog updated

Announcing the 2014 Gordon Research Conference on Rare Cells in Circulation: Circulating Tumor Cells and Metastasis

hello “Cancer for Engineers” gang-

just sending a quick email to let you know, if you don’t already, about a conference I am organizing about Circulating Tumor Cells and Metastasis:

http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?year=2014&program=rarecells

speakers/discussion leaders include andy rhim, howard scher, jeff chalmers, shannon stott, leon terstappen, max wicha, dario marchetti, larry norton, thea tlsty, tony hollingsworth, david nanus, daniel danila, stefanie jeffrey, anirban maitra, linda vahdat, sofia merjaver, jim hicks, stuart martin, Paraskevi Giannakakou, Jing Yang, and Marjolein van Egmond. As is the case with most GRCs, this conference is quite cost-effective especially for Cornellians as it is a drivable distance and registration includes meals and accomodations. I hope that some of you are interested and want to attend. Feel free to contact me if you want any further information.
