The Bouklas Lab led by Prof. Nikolaos Bouklas is part of the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University. Our research focuses on the mechanical and multiphysical behavior of soft, active and biological materials,  where we employ tools from theoretical and computational mechanics for their study. We work on multiphysics and multiscale problems, focusing on constitutive modeling, fracture, damage, and stability, utilizing advanced computational techniques and HPC. Our work on computational mechanics also focuses on the development of novel computational tools and techniques for materials modeling.
