Student Technology Assistant Program (STAP)

The Academic Technology Center is now a part of the newly-formed Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI)

The Academic Technology Center’s Student Technology Assistant Program (STAP) is a student-powered support team here to help you utilize technology for teaching and learning. Students from all backgrounds work in the STAP Academic Technology Center and help faculty by preparing media for courses, working on course-related projects, providing telephone support for Blackboard and Canvas, assisting with the development of Cornell’s Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) through the EdX platform, and meeting faculty who walk-in to drop off materials or get support (more advanced issues may require a consultation).

In addition to STAP, CTI is also supported by Undergraduate and Graduate Project Assistants that help shape the many initiatives of our organization, such as Active Learning, the International TA Program, and Teaching and Learning in the Diverse Classroom.

Our students are important partners at the Center for Teaching Innovation that help us to realize our mission
