Douglas Pernikoff is a doctor of veterinary medicine, currently practicing in the state of Missouri. He worked as a residential veterinarian in the Saint-Louis zoo, has been involved in field primate research in Indonesia, and has been providing care for decades to captive apes in the United States.
The interview was conducted by Cathy Caruth and Laurent Dubreuil in 2018 in Ithaca, NY. The testimony is in two parts, both directed and edited by Laurent Dubreuil.
