Over the course of several decades, Connie Casey raised more than forty chimpanzees in her home, now the Missouri Primate Foundation. Many of the apes reared by Mrs. Casey worked in the entertainment industry; some were sold to private owners. In 2018, when this interview was acquired, several adult chimpanzees were still living in the large facility Connie built for individuals she considers to be her “kids.”
The interview was conducted in Festus, MO by Caruth Caruth and Laurent Dubreuil. Dubreuil directed and edited the testimony.
