Buffalo Spirit Award

Buffalo Spirit Award

The Buffalo Spirit Award was started in 1995 by the Cornell Council of American Indian Graduate and Professional Students to recognize and honor individuals who have provided outstanding leadership in supporting the students and programs of the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program.

Awardee: Skye Hart ’20

Although Skye finished her degree in January, she was integral to IGSA’s efforts to facilitate a graduate-undergraduate community, and remains so as we continue to connect with the community via Zoom. Skye worked tirelessly to advocate for Indigenous Students at Cornell during her time here, and remains an excellent role model for all AIISP students.
