It’s almost move-in day! I’ve fielded a couple questions from incoming students and thought it might be helpful to post answers here, too.
Textbooks: You can find out what books are required for your classes here. You can search by schedule if you have your schedule set already or by class if you’re still thinking about adding something. ISBNs are provided so that you can search for cheaper options online. It’s worth taking a look – I usually buy at least 75% of my books online.
Printing: Many professors accept or even require electronic paper submissions these days, but you never know when you’ll have to print something out. Cornell doesn’t include printing costs in tuition, so you’ll pay 9 cents per page. You can have it billed to your bursar account, pay with cash at the time of printing, or create a “cash account” (advance payment made by cash or credit card). CIT has more information available. Remember to print double-sided whenever possible – it saves paper and cash!
The professors and ambassadors are looking forward to meeting you next Monday. Enjoy moving in and orientation!
