The NYS Fair Dairy Cow Birthing Center will be featuring a video about the evolution of the dairy industry in NY. In order to complete the video, the NY Animal Ag Coalition is looking for old photos of dairy farming activities. These can be from anywhere in NYS.
The photos will also be part of a NY Animal Agriculture Coalition video resource kit for farmers to use while doing independent community outreach at local schools, etc
What exactly do they need?
- Photos with people on the farm
- Older technology and machinery, fields, cows, barns, etc.
- Photos from as early on as possible through the 1980’s.
- Video would also be helpful. Footage from the 80’s or earlier with a vintage look to it would be best. They’re willing to come and digitize your video if needed.
- Any context that you can provide as to what is happening in the photo, when and where it was taken, and who is in it.
Photos are needed as soon as possible, definitely within the next week.
