Chris Watkins has provided innovative solutions to the Statewide CCE system, by looking ahead to provide standardization and stability to our financial structure. Chris’s willingness to step away from a financial software solution that was a poor fit after a significant investment demonstrates his commitment to proactively lead us into the future. In addition to the selection of a new software solution, throughout this process he has made a strategic investment in professional development, tools and resources to finance staff to enhance necessary skills. Chris and CCE Administration have provided the vision and resources to move our system into the future.
Here are some answers you’ve been waiting for…
Why do we need a new system and why now? As our current financial system (ACCPAC) uses outdated technology and does not offer the flexibility to grow and expand. The pandemic highlighted the importance of a robust, cloud-based, remote solution that meets the essential requirements of the current and future accounting needs of Associations.
What is Acumatica? Acumatica is an easy-to-use, full-featured and mobile software. With unlimited users, everyone can have a real-time view of your Association anytime, anywhere.
Why Acumatica? Acumatica provides the Associations with a user friendly, easily converted software solution that is cloud based. Prelude, our software support partner is well acquainted with the Cornell Cooperative Extension System and offers a personalized product.
Is it more than a financial system? What modules or functions does Acumatica have that ACCPAC doesn’t have? Yes! Mobile Applications, Fixed Assets, Expense Management, Purchase Orders, Credit Card Processing and Customer Relationship Management are all features that we are looking forward to implementing.
What is the “gain” at the local CCE level? Acumatica will create time saving efficiencies and reduce duplication of effort from multiple processes that were managed separate from the financial software.
