The Cornell University Viticulture and Enology Club (CUVEC) was founded in 2007 by a group of ambitious students from the Viticulture and Enology (VIEN) program. Their mission was to crystalize a community of students and instructors that would enrich the Cornell Experience both educationally and socially. The club is open to all students of the Cornell Community who have an interest in the practices of grape growing, wine making, the wine business, and hospitality; regardless of major or college affiliation.

We boast an array of club activities that include field excursions to the Finger Lakes region’s surrounding vineyards, social gatherings to establish our community & network, and our annual “Grape Stomp”  where we engage directly with fellow Cornellians about the exciting world of wine, and yes we do actually stomp grapes.

Recently we have added to our agenda a speaker series scheduled by club members through our network of Alumni & Industry contacts to come in and speak about their individual experiences as an accomplished wine professional.

CUVEC meets weekly every Thursdays at 4:45 p.m. in the Plant Sciences building Room 114.

We invite you to come and take part.

Cheers,

Evan LaNouette ’10
