Students in Marcia Eames Sheavly’s Art of Horticulture class worked with Cornell Plantations Staff and myself to shape and sod a sofa built into a sidehill in the ponds area. Check out this 60-second time lapse movies of the process. What an enlightening activity for Cornell students often bogged down in class room learning environments. It was such a joy to watch them become engaged and interact with each other and their living environment; of course it is totally cool that we are workign with turfgrass. By the way for the turf folks, we used a 90/10 mix of tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass.
