The Africana Library expands research possibilities this semester with such new databases as HistoryMakers: videotaped interviews with at least 100 African Americans, including a 2001 interview with then-state Sen. Barack Obama; African American Newspapers (1827-1998): full-text access to 270 newspapers dating to the 19th century; and African American Biographical Database: key primary and secondary biographical resources.
