Syllabic celebration

April is cruel but

National Poetry Month

Is the opposite

T.S. Eliot famously disparaged “the cruellest month” in “The Waste Land,” but that was more than 70 years before April was officially declared National Poetry Month.

Cornell Library is celebrating with a reading of haiku and other poetry by Frank Robinson and Tom Clausen at Mann Library on April 21 at 4 p.m. (To get your haiku fix every day, visit Mann Library’s daily haiku at http://haiku.mannlib.cornell.edu or subscribe to the RSS feed.)
