200 conversations

“All Things Equal,” a weekly radio program produced and co-sponsored by Cornell that features in-depth conversations on race, class, diversity and sustainability, recently celebrated its 200th broadcast.

The show won Best in Category award for electronic communications and interactive media from the State University of New York Council for University Advancement in 2011. Lynette Chappell-Williams, Cornell associate vice president for workforce diversity and inclusion, remarked at that time: “The show has been a voice of education and encouragement, and taken on difficult topics with grace and professionalism, providing an opportunity for awareness and civil discourse about diversity on campus and in the community. A true change agent, we would not be this far ahead in creating an inclusive environment without the great work that ‘All Things Equal’ has so successfully accomplished.”

Produced by Gary Stewart, Cornell’s director of community relations, “All Things Equal” airs on WHCU 870 AM and 95.9 FM Tuesdays at 8:35 a.m. and is available via Podcast.
