Green legacy
Liberty Hyde Bailey made his mark on Cornell in many ways, and the plant treasures in the conservatory that bears his name stand out as some of the most outstanding in the world.
A new exhibition at Mann Library – L. H. Bailey Conservatory: A Showcase of Biodiversity and Research in Plant Science – features historic photos of some of these treasures, along with highlights from the conservatory’s history in promoting understanding of global plant biodiversity and public appreciation for art and science.
The exhibit, which runs through the end of May, is presented by the Dead Plants Society with funding support from the Department of Plant Biology.
Stop by Mann’s Top Shelf Gallery on the second floor to check it out, or view highlights in the online slideshow.
