Thick with controversy
The library just received the self-proclaimed thickest book in the world.
At 5,247 pages and 13.4 inches thick, “Obama & Pluralism“ compiles the works of almost 40 people. It’s in Indonesian, and it took only five days to write and less than a year to publish.
Although many news articles claim it to be the thickest published book, Guinness World Records still have an Agatha Christie novel on the books as the record-holder.
And another rival is coming from behind: A 23,675-page book about unemployment insurance will soon be published in Denmark, although confidential library sources will neither confirm nor deny plans to purchase it.
